How to cite
Quote any figure on the site with a link to the page it appears on and the name My Fast Movers. For carrier data, add the snapshot date printed on the page, because the federal register changes daily and our copy is dated. For cost figures, say that they come from a published model rather than from surveys or quotes, because that is what they are.
Every route page, state page and carrier profile is a stable URL you can link to directly. If you need a figure that is not on a page, or a bulk extract for a story, email us and say what you are working on; we answer data questions from journalists and researchers ourselves.
The one thing we ask is that a quoted range is quoted as a range. The model publishes a low and a high on purpose, and a midpoint presented as "the average cost of a move" is not something we said.
